Another camera that reminds me of the earlier generation. Don’t get me wrong though, this fantastic camera has all the features that fit our modern-day lifestyle.

The highlight if the Instax Mini 90 is it’s move in and out type of lens. It also has an automatic exposure control.

It also has a few modes that you can choose from when capturing your moments: self-timer mode, which is ideal for selfies, macro mode, brightness control and there’s even modes for capturing certain situations such as landscapes, kids parties etc.

You also have an option to switch the flash on or off. It also has a high-performance flash, this helps with optimizing the exposure. This detects the amount of light that’s needed for certain scenes. It also has a mode dial feature, by rotating the dial, you can switch between modes whilst looking through the viewfinder.

The Instax Mini 90 also has a bulb exposure mode. This mode is ideal for capturing pictures in darker rooms or at night. The shutter remains open for 10 seconds, when it’s in this mode.

The Instax mini 70 is also cheaper than the Instax mini 90 and it is quite an affordable camera. The only downsides of the Instax mini 70 is that they have no retractable lens and unlike the Instax mini 90 and other cameras on the market, they don’t come with rechargeable batteries and they can operate on two AA batteries.

They invented the concept and everybody loved them until the digital photography took over. However, during the last decade people became nostalgic so companies like Fujifilm hurried to fulfill their needs in a time when Polaroid was weaker than ever. Now both of the companies have some interesting models so it is not easy to choose which one is the best.

Polaroid released some great models, such as Polaroid Snap that takes great pictures at 10 megapixels and allows black and white and sepia mode. The camera costs about $100 and a pack of 50 film sheets about $25. Besides Snap, Polaroid took the instant photography into the digital era with its Socialmatic model. This camera allows users to save the pictures on a memory card and select which ones they want to print by seeing them on an LCD display. More than that, users can share their pictures on social networks and interact with their friends.

Fujifilm, on the other side, went for the young generation that never had a Polaroid. They made cameras that are simple to use and, the most important – fun. Instax film comes in a variety of models with fun designs from retro dots and stripes to Star Wars and Disney characters.

Which Is The Best Instant Camera?




In this article we will try to find out which is the best instant camera. We managed to narrow it down to three finalists:

Polaroid Snap

Polaroid Snap is a combination between the classic instant printer and a digital camera. It takes large images of 10 megapixels and saves them to a memory card while also printing them instantly on Zink photo paper. The camera costs about $100 and a pack of 50 Zink sheets is about $25.

Polaroid Snap is available in white, black, red and blue and works with an internal lithium-ion battery. It has a MicroSD card slot, self-timer and it offers the option to snap color, black & white and retro pictures.

The camera is easy to use and takes great pictures. The colors are not particularly great on printed pictures, especially when taken in a low light environment. However, black & white pictures are absolutely fantastic and they all have a retro look that would make any Polaroid user a bit nostalgic.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 70

Instax Mini 70 has been released in September 2015 so it is one of the newest instant cameras on the market. It is a compact camera that comes in white, yellow and blue for a fair price of about $100. It works with Instax Mini films that cost about $10 for a pack of 10 sheets. However, there is a great variety of designs available for the frame of the printed pictures – from rainbow backgrounds to dots or stripes and even Disney characters.

Instax Mini 70 works with two CR2 batteries and is fully automatic. There is a selfie button that will set a closer focus, an option for macro or landscape and also a Hi-key function that will brighten the photos. The camera does not provide black and white options unless you buy black and white paper.

However, the colors can be great if the shots are not overexposed, which can be a real issue especially in sun light.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 90

Instax Mini 90 has an awesome retro design, reminding us of Fujifilm X-series. Even if the camera is made of plastic, it comes with a textured leather strap that covers 90 percent of the exterior.

The camera retails for about $110 and uses the same film as any other Instax Mini.

Instax Mini 90 has a built-in flash, a landscape/macro mode, it allows multiple exposures and even has a bulb mode. The printed pictures have great deep colors that look really natural.

And the best instant camera is…

After reviewing the three cameras, we decided that the best instant camera is Instax Mini 90. It has the nicest design, it allows users to make their own settings and takes the best pictures.
